Warm Mineral Springs

I suffer from a rare but annoying form of eczema that gets really bad sometimes. In January of 2008, it got so bad that I did two radical things: I went to yet another New York City dermatologist who gave me a ton of prednisone and said not a whole lot more.

Never one to find a more natural healing method, I went in search of mineral springs where I could soak my troubles away. I really wanted to go back to Pagosa Springs, CO, but I didn’t have a lot of time and it would be a day of travel on either end to get there.

After a little more digging, I found Warm Mineral Springs in North Port, Florida.

They wanted a dramatic, high impact portrait…

and this is what we created. They couple was on the sweet side, so the smile snuck out to the side.

Sweet, adorable and yes, with a family fur…

Now this was something I’d never worked with before! This woman brought her mother-in-law’s fur…it was gorgeous! And, well, so is she…

A fine art posting from the trip to Cazenovia, NY

I took a long hike through the Highland Forest, a ten-minute drive from the busy, downton Cazenovia center. This lovely park extens over 2,300 acres and is well worth the visit.

I thought the hiking map was incredibly confusing because so many other trails crossed the mapped trails, yet they were NOT marked. I inadvertantly ended up walking clockwise when I thought I was going the other direction. This happened because it wasn’t clear that I had to cross a rather large, paved parking lot shortly after starting the trail.

Anyway, I’m happy with some of the photography.
